From January to May 2021, the San Diego Symphony will livestream monthly virtual orchestral concerts featuring Music Director Rafael Payare and San Diego Symphony musicians.
San Diego Symphony Music Director Rafael Payare revisited the traditional New Year’s Eve symphony concert Thursday, streaming an online program from the stage of Copley Symphony Hall.
The current pandemic has largely suspended choral performance, but San Diego Opera came to the rescue Monday with its drive-in “Holiday Sing-Along and All Is Calm” presentation at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Copley Symphony Hall has been dark since mid-March, but last weekend, to offer some sorely needed musical Christmas cheer, the San Diego Symphony used the hall as a sound stage to stream online a pair of beautifully produced holiday specials.
