Things looked only a little different at the WoW Festival Saturday. The difference was the presence of families with children.
Looking ahead to the San Diego Symphony’s much heralded tour to New York City and China, Music Director Jahja Ling opened the 2013-14 season with a sumptuous performance of Samuel Barber’s much-loved Violin Concerto, Sergei Prokofiev’s Fifth Symphony, and the premiere of a commissioned work by David Bruce, “Night Parade.”
Mo’olelo Performing Arts Company’s production of The Amish Project is the kind of play that certain viewers will stay away from, because some might find the subject material to be too gut wrenching.
