Tenor Stephen Costello Returns to San Diego Opera

The image of the barrel-chested, horn-helmeted, sword-swinging opera singer dies slowly. Making opera less exotic and more believable is a preoccupation of opera companies and singers around the globe. The versatile dancer Trystan Loucado has made waves in performances with San Diego’s top contemporary and ballet companies. Known for his long limbs and skilled partnering, the term multi-talented is an understatement. He’s also become a formidable dancer en pointe. Playhouse Announces Without Walls Festival for October 2013

The La Jolla Playhouse announced at a press conference today that its inaugural Without Walls Festival will be staged October 3 – 6. The Playhouse portion of the University of California, San Diego, campus, will serve as a festival village for a series of performances and events presented in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego and the UCSD Department of Theatre and Dance.
