Sunday, September 16, the Hausmann Quartet boldly set sail on the on the next leg of its Haydn Voyages at the San Diego Maritime Museum’s ferry Berkeley. The quartet’s rich program included an exciting new commissioned piece for the ensemble by the American composer Stephen Prutsman.
Rosina Reynolds is far from a novice when it comes to working on plays by the famously clever writer, Noel Coward. In recent years, she has directed a production of Coward’s Fallen Angels at the North Coast Repertory Theatre, and has starred in interpretations of his comedy Hay Fever, and the dark drama, The Vortex, at the Cygnet Theatre.

Bonnie Wright’s ambitious Fresh Sound series makes its audience reconsider their ideas about what music is—or is not. Konk Pack, Saturday’s visiting trio on Wright’s adventurous series, filled the large room at Bread and Salt in Barrio Logan with clouds of vibrant electronically generated sound.
