San Diego Opera’s rousing, vibrant production of Daniel Catán’s “Florencia en el Amazonas” opened Saturday, March 17, at Civic Theatre with a smartly directed cast of strong, younger singers and great support in the pit from the San Diego Symphony.
The storied Academy of St. Martin in the Fields under Joshua Bell played Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Wieniawski in the Jacobs Music Center on Friday, March 16, 2018.
